Set within the picturesque village of Great Budworth, this project involved the transformation of a traditional barn conversion into a bespoke country-style kitchen tailored to modern family living. The property’s exposed beams, generous proportions and rural character provided the perfect backdrop for a design that balances rustic charm with refined craftsmanship.
Each kitchen was specified as a premium in-frame Shaker design, combining timeless detailing with modern functionality. Large central islands with seating for up to five people formed the focal point of each space, complemented by antique brass ironmongery and carefully selected quartz worktops to create a warm yet refined aesthetic.
High-specification appliances were used throughout, including Miele cooking appliances, full-height refrigeration and freezing solutions, wine cooling, and Quooker boiling water taps with integrated filtration systems. Every kitchen was designed with practicality at its core, offering extensive storage solutions to support modern family living.
Alongside the main kitchens, matching utility rooms were designed and installed across each property, ensuring a consistent level of craftsmanship and finish throughout every development.
The result is a beautifully detailed country kitchen that sits effortlessly within its barn setting, combining natural materials, timeless design and contemporary functionality.

The Client Brief
The brief was to create a warm and inviting kitchen that felt entirely at home within the character of the barn conversion, whilst delivering the practicality and functionality required for modern family living. The clients wanted a space that celebrated the property's original features, combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary conveniences and high-performance appliances.
Working closely with the homeowners and development team, we carefully considered how the kitchen would be used on a daily basis, from family meals and entertaining guests to maximising storage and workspace. A large central island with seating for five was positioned as the heart of the room, creating a natural gathering space whilst enhancing the flow between the kitchen and surrounding living areas.
Particular attention was given to storage, with full-height cabinetry, dedicated pantry solutions and integrated appliances ensuring the kitchen remained both highly functional and visually uncluttered. The result is a timeless in-frame Shaker kitchen that complements the heritage of the barn while providing all the benefits of modern luxury living.
